This morning, we dinghied around to the ocean side of Powell Cay where the water was calm and there are some fallen trees and rocks close by. It reminded us of Botany Bay with the boneyard beach. There were lots of trees along the beach.

It was a snorkeling and fishing day and I wish that I had a camera for that as it was a lot of fun. The fish were plentiful and surprisingly, as shallow as it was, there was some pretty colorful coral. There were lots of old conch shells plus 2 that were able to harvest for ourselves.

Bruce was trying his Hawaiian sling spear to fish while snorkeling.  As I stayed behind him, I was able to enjoy the show! He was working so hard as he literally stalked the yellow tail snappers and mutton snappers and shot his spear (many times) but had to go retrieve it without a fish. I wish I had pictures!

While we had dinner (burgers from the freezer not fresh fish) we noticed the interesting clouds where it looks like it is raining from a top layer of clouds onto a  bottom layer. We saw this in several cloud forms.

Today, we hiked the 2 trails on the cay. The trails were both very dense and tropical rainforest like.
One was not very long and lead up to a bluff overlooking the Sea of Abaco. We could see Summer Breeze way out at anchor.

The second trail led across the cay to the ocean side and it was longer and denser. As we climbed over the last little hill and onto a clearing, we were rewarded with a spectacular beach, all for ourselves.

We had packed a lunch and enjoyed a swim and a good walk. A boater and another couple came up towards the end of our stay but it was amazing to have it ourselves for most of the time.

This was our trip 2 days ago from Manjack to Powell Cay. Tomorrow we head to Allans Pensacola Cay, one of the 1st places we had stopped at and meeting up with some friends that we had met there before!
