York River to the Severn River, Mobjack Bay, Chesapeake Bay, Day 25-26

Weighed anchor again at 9:30 to move around the point into Mobjack Bay where there are several rivers leading out from it.
Leaving Yorktown, we only have to peak out into the Chesapeake Bay waters for just a bit so we didn't take any peanut butter drug today. All was fine though it may have been borderline for Bella. Soon as we turned into Mobjack Bay, it was calm as could be instead of the 1-2s chop.

We anchored in the Severn River (off of Free School Creek) amidst crab pots and 1/2 foot shoals but it was beautiful.  We dinghied around the Free School Creek and found a public area where we could land the dinghy and go walk. The area is full of boat houses and beautiful homes.

We stopped here and took a short walk.

Our travels today. We anchored in Bryant #1 (Active Captain anchorage) It was a bit tricky getting to but once there was great.

Day 26: Mobjack Bay to Deltaville, VA
Weighed anchor at 7:45 in order to get to Deltaville early enough to "go to town"
The wave forecast called for 1/2' waves. (Now does that really happen in the Chesapeake? I think NOT!)
It was really calm at first but as soon as we got out into the bay before turning into Deltaville, it got a bit choppy and Bella and Rosie are thinking, we should've had peanut butter. But we did ok, even though our tummies were at our throats and we got into the most beautiful anchorage, Fishing Bay at 12:30. Early enough to "go to town". The local little ones were out having a regatta.

We walked the mile to town even though we were given the use of the marina bikes but I couldn't reach the peddles, seat, ground... it was a disaster waiting to happen, no matter the ground was making me "land sick". So we walked and it was hot but it walk felt great. We went to the big West Marine store until the AC didn't feel good any more, then walked to the nautical consignment/boutique store, and then to the seafood market and scored big time. We came home with fresh, still wiggling soft shell crabs and scallops for dinner.

 Sunset in Fishing Bay
Anchor light, crescent moon and star all lined up!
